Object
ALMETAC is a company committed to compliance with all applicable legislation and aims to progressively go beyond the legally required minimums. Our work is based on responsibility to society, transparency and the mutual benefit of companies, workers and all those involved in the activities carried out by ALMETAC. We strive to promote values such as respect, communication, trust, honesty and transparency in all the activities we carry out and we encourage these values among all the people who make up our organisation. Likewise, since its foundation, ALMETAC has defended its firm commitment in the medium and long term, without the continuity of its activity -understood as the livelihood of its workers and contribution of wealth to society- being endangered by a decrease in short-term profits.
In line with the above, we set out in this Code our values and principles, which we hope our suppliers will share and complement.
Scope
This code of conduct applies to all companies supplying goods and/or services to ALMETAC.
ALMETAC asks all its suppliers to commit themselves to this code as a condition for maintaining business relations.
It is the suppliers' responsibility to check and certify compliance with this Code of Conduct in all their workplaces and in all the services they provide to ALMETAC.
Applicable legislation
ALMETAC's suppliers will guarantee strict compliance with the national legislation in force and/or any other applicable regulations in each work centre where they carry out their activities so as not to place ALMETAC, S.A. in a situation of non-compliance with regulations.
General
Suppliers must verify that all their workers perform their activity in accordance with the legal labor requirements of the country in which they have been hired. The relevant documents for each worker shall be made available to the competent authority or at ALMETAC's request. Likewise, each worker shall have an employment contract specifying, in a language understandable to the worker, the conditions of such work.
Suppliers shall promote equal opportunities among their employees and shall not discriminate against their workers on the grounds of race, religion, age, nationality, sex, marital status, disability, age or any other personal or social condition unrelated to their professional skills.
Forced Labour
ALMETAC suppliers will not allow forced and/or compulsory labour. All violence, punishment, coercion, threats and sexual harassment or abuse will be prohibited.
Workers shall freely choose their work and shall be free to terminate their employment relationship by giving their employer the notice required by applicable law.
In no case shall documentation be withheld from employees, nor shall workers be asked to make money deposits.
Child Labour
ALMETAC's suppliers are prohibited from employing workers below the minimum age set by law in each country. In the event that local legislation does not specify the minimum legal age for employment, this age may not be less than that set by the International Labour Organisation

ALMETAC suppliers shall treat their workers with respect and dignity and shall not allow any kind of violence, punishment, harassment or abuse (physical, psychological, verbal or sexual) at work.
Discrimination
Providers shall prohibit discrimination in employment on the basis of race, religion, gender, nationality, language, marital status, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
Freedom of Association and the Right to Collective Bargaining
Suppliers shall recognize and respect the right of association, unionization and collective bargaining of their workers.

ALMETAC's suppliers shall at least comply with the legislation applicable in each country with regard to wages and hours worked.
Working hours

Health and safety at work

They shall also train their workers and provide them with sufficient means to carry out their work safely, including appropriate protective equipment.
Suppliers shall identify possible emergency situations associated with their activity and implement emergency plans in order to minimize their impact in the event of an accident.
General
ALMETAC's suppliers must comply with the applicable environmental legislation and identify the risks represented by the development of their activity in order to eliminate the potential hazards to human health and the environment that these represent. Likewise, suppliers will implement, as far as possible, energy saving and recycling measures.
ALMETAC will value positively having environmental certification when approving or maintaining suppliers.
General
Suppliers shall act with honesty, integrity and transparency in all their business relationships with any private or public entity. They shall not offer or accept bribes, gifts or kickbacks and shall not practice or tolerate any form of corruption, extortion or embezzlement.
Suppliers shall respect applicable laws on this matter and establish appropriate procedures to ensure such compliance.

ALMETAC suppliers are prohibited from giving, offering, promising or accepting bribes, gifts, favors or any other improper payment.
ALMETAC suppliers must comply with all applicable anti-corruption legislation.
Conflicts of interest
ALMETAC's suppliers must guarantee the independence of their actions and their compliance with applicable legislation in the event of a conflict of interest on the part of any of their employees.
Notification of non-compliance
Suppliers must implement a system that allows their employees to anonymously notify the existence of legal violations in their work environment and guarantee the confidentiality of the information.
Confidential Information
Given the critical nature of the proper management of information and the processing of personal and confidential data, suppliers must comply with current legislation on data protection and protect and preserve all information from their business relationship with ALMETAC.
The information entrusted by ALMETAC to its suppliers in the exercise of their commercial relations shall be treated as confidential, unless ALMETAC has previously and expressly authorised its dissemination.
Compliance with the Code
This Code will be compulsory for all ALMETAC suppliers.
In the event that a breach of this Code is detected, the supplier must report this situation by email to canaletico@almetac.com. If the supplier does not communicate in writing about the detected breaches or if these breaches are not remedied within a reasonable period of time, ALMETAC may terminate the contract with the supplier.
ALMETAC requests its suppliers to disseminate this Code at all levels of their organisation.
